YEREVAN, DECEMBER 15. ARMINFO. The United Stated has not included Armenia in the list of the countries who want to take part in the post-war restoration of Iraq.
According to American mass media, the U.S. has published the list of 63 countries who take part in the contest. Contracts will be concluded with the winners of the contest for assistance to the restoration of Iraq. Press Secretary of Armenia’s Foreign Ministry Hamlet Gasparian told ARMINFO, “Armenia will not take part in the present contest, but it doesn’t suppose that Armenia will not take part further in the programs for Iraq’s restoration”. According to him, Armenia has expressed readiness more than once for taking part in the post-war restoration of Iraq and this issues has also been discussed with the leadership of the United States.
