YEREVAN, OCTOBER 9. ARMINFO. A concert, dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Eastern Armenia’s becoming a part of the Russian Empire, will be held at the Sport-Concert Hall of Yerevan on Oct 12.
Advisor for culture of Russia’s Embassy in Armenia Gennady Marishnikov stated during the press conference today, the concert in Yerevan will become one the most important projects in a number of festivities, dedicated to the important historical date of Armenian-Russian relations. Within the framework of the celebration of the jubilee it is also planned to hold a scientific conference in Russian-Armenian University. Gennady Barishnikov reminded that since Feb 2003 numerous festivities, dedicated to this date, were held in Yerevan.
In her turn, Attache on culture of Russia’s Embassy in Armenia Marina Kalacheva mentioned that the forthcoming concert in Yerevan is an interstate project, as the Foreign Ministries of Russia and Armenia, the Government of Moscow and Yerevan’s city hall have taken part in organizing it.
