The French publishing house “Flammarion”released a book “Time of Advanced,” written by a prominent French singer of Armenian origin Charles Aznavour. The book, telling the story of the writer’s life, took him more than two years. Over quite a long time, the 79-year-old singer refused to seriously think about writing a book, despite numerous requests of his fans. Though it must be stated that the released book is not the first try of the French Armenian singer. He had written a book titled “Aznavour About Aznavour”, published also in the former USSR in Armenian. The main argument of the singer against writing a book was that his biography is possible to describe only in a poetic form; no other genre is applicable. However, Aznavour secretly wrote some 20 pages and showed them to his friend, a literary man. Being encouraged by his approval, the singer wrote the book to the end.
