SAINT PETERSBURG, OCTOBER 6. ARMINFO. A concert dedicated to the great composer Aram Khachatryan’s centennial was held at the Bolshoy Hall of D. Shostakovich Philharmonic Society in Saint Petersburg yesterday.
The press-service of the General Consulate of Armenia in St. Petersburg told ARMINFO that the Academic Symphonic Orchestra performed the Valse from Opera “Fancy-Ball” and other fragments from ballets “Spartak” and “Gayane” by Aram Khachatryan. The orchestra’s conductor and creative manager is Raffael Martinov. The soloist, the winner of numerous competitions, the 21-year-old violist Hayk Ghazaryan also gave a concert with Aram Khachatryan’s Orchestra. Attending the event were diplomatic missions, diplomats, officials accredited in St. Petersburg and representatives of the Armenian community. Consul General of Armenia to St, Petersburg Ruben Hakobyan addressed a welcoming speech to those present.
It should ben noted that the concert was organized by the Armenian Consulate General to St. Petersburg and D. Shostakovich Philharmonic Society.
