YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS: US president George W. Bush sent a congratulatory message to Armenian president Robert Kocharian on the occasion of the 12-th anniversary of Armenia’ Independence Day marked September 21.
Below is the text of the message.
“Dear Mr. President, on behalf of the American people I congratulate you and the people of Armenia on the twelfth anniversary of your independence on September 21.
Armenia has been a valued partner to the United States in the war against terrorism. I am confident that our collaboration in this endeavor, which is crucial to the future of both of our countries, will continue and expand in the future.
The United States is committed to working with the government of Armenia to implement political and economic reform in order to secure democracy, prosperity and security for the Armenian people. In turn, a prosperous and stable Armenia will play an important and beneficial role in the Caucasus Region. I look forward to deepening the relationship between our countries.”
