YEREVAN, AUGUST 27. ARMINFO. The memorial plaque dedicated to the journalist, diplomat, historian and state figure Genrich Liloyan (1932-1999) was unveiled in Yerevan today. The plaque was made buy the well-known Armenian sculptor Ashot Adamyan.
During the ceremony Armenia’s FM Vartan Oskanyan highly appreciated Liloyan’s activities. He said that Liloyan was one of the founders of Armenia’s FM. He regretted that Liloyan was unable to carry his mission through.
The correspondent of the Comminist newspaper, own correspondent of the Moscow newspaper Medical Worker Liloyan was among the most active public figures of the 60s.
In the 70s he engaged in diplomatic activities, representing Armenia in France. He made an outstanding contribution to the development Armenian-French cultural relations. He organized many festivals, concerts, exhibitions. He was on good terms with many cultural workers of France and Armenia.
The memorial plaque is a tribute to this memory and his outstanding contribution to the progress of independent Armenia.-
