armenpress: AGRARIAN UNION HELPS FARMERS TO CULTIVATE NEW VEGETABLE SORTS

YEREVAN, JULY 29, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian Agrarian Union has helped Armenian farmers to import some 500 tons of first-class potato seeds from Holland, another 160 sorts of elite vegetables from Italy, which has led to the decrease of prices for seeds in the domestic markets.
Hrach Berberian, the chairman of the Union, said this year’s relatively low prices for potato will allow imports of Armenian potato to neighboring Georgia in autumn. Armenian potato was not sold there in the last three years due to high prices.
