YEREVAN, JUNE 11, ARMENPRESS: The first international Olympiad of Armenian Language will be held from June 23 to 27 in Armenia, by the initiative of the ministry of education and science, backed up by foreign ministry and sponsored by the first Lady Bella Kocharian.
One of the ministry senior officials said that 60 participants from around 10 countries have expressed eagerness to take part in the Olympiad, which is designed only for Diaspora students, as far as the program was developed according to their level of knowledge of the language.
The participants’ general knowledge of Armenian language, literature and Armenia will be checked via written and oral tests, then they will tour about the country.
