JUNE 6. Today Armenia is celebrating the 100th birthday of the great Armenian composer Aram Khachaturyan. While laying flowers on Khachaturyan’s monument today Minister of Culture, Sport and Youth Roland Sharoyan said that Khachaturyan’s music is the best characteristics of his personality and the truest story of his life. He said that Khachaturyan’s jubilee is celebrated in over 50 countries of the world. After the laying of flowers the procession moved to the Yerevan Pantheon to attend the remembrance liturgy on his grave. Present there were his friends, relatives and simply those who love his music. One of them, Erjanik Karakhanyan, recently published a book about the great Armenian composer.-
