The 85-th anniversary of the outstanding Armenian singer Zaruhi Dolukhanian, who lives in Moscow, was marked in the Russian capital, at the Big Hall of Moscow’s Conservatoire. The entire cream of Russian musical community was present at the honoring ceremony to celebrate the jubilee.
Armenian ambassador to Russia Armen Smbatian publicized a message from Armenian president and a decree on awarding Mrs. Dolukhanian one of the highest Armenians medals- the Medal of Saint Mashtots. Russian culture minister for his part announced about a decree by Russia’s Putin to award the singer the Russian order for contributions to homeland.
