FEBRUARY 20. According to today’s decision of the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia, the second round of the presidential election is to be held Mar 5 between incumbent President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan and Leader of the People’s Party of Armenia Stepan Demirtchyan.
According to the preliminary official data, Kocharyan has polled 707,155 votes (49.8%), Demirtchyan 400,846 votes (27.7%) and Artashes Geghamyan 247,360 votes (17%). A total of 1,484,093 voters took part in the election.
