Two prisoners of war were exchanged on the border between Tavush
(Armenia) and Qazax (Azerbaijan) Districts today, the ICRC
Internatonal Committee of the Red Cross Baku office has told
Turan. The Azerbaijani state commission for prisoners of war,
hostages and missing persons reported that the Azerbaijani side
had released Garik Borisovich Saakyan and the Armenian side had
released Ilham Yusif oglu Mammadov.
The ICRC also said that earlier representatives of the
organization had visited the said prisoners of war in Baku and
Yerevan. During conversations with them, they expressed their
wish to return to their motherland.
