ArmenPress: COMMUNICATION SERVICES POST 33.8 BILLION DRAMS INCOME IN 9 MONTHS

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS: Armstat said enterprises dealing with providing communication services posted a total of 33.8 billion Armenian Drams in income in the first nine months of the year. The share of income received from main communication services made 33.1 billion Drams, a 7 percent growth over the same time span of 2001.

Incomes received from postal services amounted to 1.4 billion Drams, an 11 percent fall over the same time span last year, income that came from telegraphic services was 58 million Drams, by 38 percent more than last year.

The biggest share of income came from telephone conversations, almost 22 billion Drams, but it was by 13 percent less than in the first nine months of 2001.

Income from telephone subscribes was 6.4 billion Drams, a 9 percent growth over last year’s index. Incomes from Internet services were 6.7 billion Drams, a 9.4 percent fall against last year’s nine months. Almost 3 billion Drams came from other services.
