azg: JVC OPENS SHOP IN YEREVAN

Japanese JVC Company will open its trade saloon on Abovian street of Yerevan in November.

The head of JVC’s Middle East regional office Yoshikazu Yamamoto said so at a news conference held at the ‘Yerevan’ hotel September 27. The JVC company’s representative is in Armenia for the first time. He said that he finds the demand of JVC products in Armenia high enough to open a special shop in Yerevan. Up till now the official representative of the company in Armenia has been Armenian Aray company, which cooperates with JVC for already 8 years. Both sides say that the cooperation has been a productive one.

JVC company’s shop will have all the assortment of the firm, from household tools to professional audio and video technology. The head of Aray company Ara Petrosian said that in the current year an estimated 3 million USD worth of JVC products were consumed in Armenia.

Talking on the possibility of opening the a company’s daughter-plant in South Caucasus, Mr. Yamamoto said that it will only be possible in case the spare parts of the equipment the company produces is made in the region. As far as there is no such a possibility at present, the products will be imported right from Japan.
