ArmenPress: ARMENIAN, RUSSIAN CHURCHES SHARE BROTHERLY RELATIONS, CATHOLICOS KAREKIN II SAYS

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS: Catholicos Karekin II, head of the Armenian Apostolic Church said today there was nothing that could spoil brotherly and warm relations between Armenian and Russian Orthodox Churches.

“Warm and brotherly relations between our Churches continue. They have got a more practical nature regarding that Russian Patriarch Alexiy II, our beloved brother, and I have many opportunities to jointly consecrate churches, cross-stones and become participants in the spiritual life of our two nations, to back one another and share our joy,” Karekin II said.

Armenian Catholicos noted with joy that Armenian students of theological seminaries continue their education at the Theological University in Russian Zagorsk, where the residence of Patriarch Alexiy II is.

“All old and good traditions that exist between our Churches are acquiring a new quality,” Karekin II said, adding that there is no doubt that the warm relations will develop further and get more stronger.
