A Sino-Armenian bioengineering research and
development centre has been set up in Urumqi, the capital of northwest
China’s Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region.
The centre, known as the China Xinjiang-Armenian Bioengineering Research
and Development Centre, is based on 10 years of cooperation between the
Microbe Institute of the Xinjiang Academy of Agriculture and the
Biological Technology Institute under the Ministry of Industries of
Armenia.
The centre will be mainly engaged in developing technologies for the
production of amino acids and albuminuria with special functions.
