The Russian and Armenian defence
ministers on Friday [14 September] signed an agreement on the
status of Russian military advisers and specialists dispatched to
Armenia.
The document “regulates juridical, financial and other aspects of
dispatching Russian military specialists and experts to Armenia”,
Russian Defence Minister Sergey Ivanov said. “This places our
military cooperation on a still former juridical and financial basis.
This
is needed so we could be able to dispatch to Armenia our specialists
and experts on a contractual basis, as is being done in the entire
civilized world.
