Nearly 1000 Armenians from the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium were present at this commemoration. Lots of news reporters too. On Dutch TV news was a large coverage of this event. Dutch MP Mr. van Dijke was present and spoke at this meeting. All Armenian organisations in Holland were present.

ANP, Drentse Courant, Nieuwsblad van het Noorden and Noordhollands Dagblad published articles and news about the ceremony.

Above is the photo of the Armenian memorial (Khatchkhar) and below we see 88 year old Hayganuþ Cordikoðlu who is from Zimara of Erzincan. She lost her family in 1915. She left 29 red roses to the memorial, names members of her family written on each one
